Hourly rate £20.76 PAYE / £27.07 UMB Per Hour

Contract Length: 2-month contract (possibility of extension)

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 36 hours

Overview

The South London Partnership (SLP) is looking for an Employment & Skills Project Officer to support the delivery of impactful programmes that help residents access opportunities, develop skills and thrive in the workplace.

Working within the SLP Economy, Skills and Employment team, you will play a key role in coordinating projects, analysing performance data, supporting stakeholder engagement and ensuring effective reporting across a range of employment and skills initiatives.

About the Role

As the Employment & Skills Project Officer, you will support the Skills & Employment Programme Lead and senior officers in delivering sub-regional employment and skills programmes across South London. Your focus will include project coordination, data analysis, impact reporting, communications and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support employment and skills projects across the South London Partnership boroughs.
  • Manage project activities and ensure effective monitoring and reporting.
  • Collect, analyse and present data to demonstrate programme impact and support decision-making.
  • Support the South London Careers Hub and other employment and skills initiatives through communications, engagement activities and project administration.
  • Produce reports, data insights and performance information for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Assist with commissioning, contract management and financial monitoring activities.
  • Support wider SLP programmes, including careers, green skills and local skills improvement initiatives.

Essential Experience & Knowledge

  • Understanding of employment and skills opportunities and challenges across South London.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of projects or programmes, including monitoring, compliance and reporting activities.
  • Experience working with local authorities or within employment and skills-related programmes.

Essential Skills

  • Strong data collection, analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to develop and maintain project management systems, reports and performance tracking tools.
