About the Role

As Senior Project Manager you will be the single point of accountability for delivering multiple fire door installation contracts on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will lead projects from pre-installation planning through to handover and snagging, working closely with clients, main contractors, site teams, and our in-house manufacturing operation. You will also have 3 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage and deliver fire door installation projects across London, ensuring full compliance with current UK Building Regulations and third-party fire door certification schemes.
  • Take a lead role in some of the larger accounts.
  • Produce and maintain detailed project programmes, method statements, risk assessments and resource plans.
  • Manage site installation teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme milestones.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits and snagging walks to maintain the highest installation standards.
  • Control project costs, variations and valuations; report monthly on budget, programme and risk.
  • Liaise with clients, principal contractors, fire engineers and building control to resolve technical and compliance queries.
  • Champion health, safety and environmental best practice on every site.
  • Manage project documentation, handover packs and O&M manuals.
  • Identify and secure additional works opportunities through strong client and contractor relationships.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a Senior Manager (or equivalent) in construction, specialist installation or fire protection projects.
  • Valid CSCS Black Card (essential – applications without this will not be considered).
  • Strong working knowledge of fire door installation standards, fire safety legislation and current Building Regulations.
  • Experience of managing projects valued £100k–£1m+.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Formal project or site management qualifications
  • Experience working with social housing, local authorities and schools.
