NonStop Care are working with a well-regarded Local Authority in the North West that is looking to appoint an experienced Social Worker to join their Support & Protect Team on an ongoing locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced children's social worker who is passionate about safeguarding children, strengthening families, and achieving positive outcomes through relationship-based practice. The service places children at the heart of everything they do and is seeking practitioners who are committed to empowering families, capturing the voice of the child, and driving meaningful change.
As a Social Worker within the Support & Protect Team, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments, managing Child in Need and Child Protection plans, and completing court work. You will work closely with children, families, and multi-agency partners to assess risk, build on strengths, and ensure effective support plans are in place to safeguard children and promote their well being.
These positions are available on an ongoing locum basis, with both full-time and part-time applicants considered.

Requirements:
To be shortlisted for this position, you must be able to work in the UK, hold a recognised Social Work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have completed your ASYE.
You should also have:
- A minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience working with children and families
- Significant experience undertaking assessments, case management, and planning in complex cases
- Experience of Child Protection, Child in Need, and Court Work
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory social work practice
- Experience working in partnership with multi-agency professionals and services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write analytical reports reflecting the child's voice
- The ability to work autonomously and manage complex situations effectively
