Social Worker – Family Safeguarding Team – Blackpool Council

Location: Blackpool
Pay/Salary: up to £ 39 per hour
Office Working: 2-3 Days per week
Contract: Locum

We are currently working with Blackpool Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Child Protection team in Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Blackpool are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service. Blackpool has recently achieved an OUTSTANDING rating by OFSTED, making it one of two authorities in the North West to have this incredible rating. Inspectors have said Blackpool Council’s services for children in care and services for care leavers are both outstanding, that the impact of leaders on social work practice is outstanding, and that services for children who need help and protection are good. 

Duties

• Completing Section 47’s and section 17 enquiries
• Undertake Section 7and 37 reports, as well as attending Court, and providing analysis and evidence-based recommendations
• Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the child
• Write conference reports and attend conferences, such as Core Group Meetings

What you need

• Social Work Qualification
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
