TXM are currently supporting a leading worldwide business in automation. We are searching for a Software Operations Engineer, known onsite as an LOE, to join the company, carving the way for software and hardware maintenance, alongside troubleshooting, and increasing stability across the facility in Castle Donington.
You will be working in partnership with the onsite customer and maintenance team, ensuring that the systems and software are in working order and everything is communicating with each other.

Shifts:
  • Earlies, Mids, Lates (8-hour and 12-hour shifts)
  • 6am – 2pm/6am – 6pm/10am – 6pm/4:30pm – 12:30am
  • Rotation across all 4 shifts including working weekends

Responsibilities:
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the following - SQL & Linux to an operational standard, being able to run commands and troubleshoot/bug fix.
  • Previous experience working on either Java, C++ or Python as programming languages, ideally with some experience in scripting/coding.
  • Supporting the onsite customer and employees with hardware support from screens, laptops up to finding and tracing log files for data tracing.
  • Responsibility for the sites ITIL systems.
  • Analysis of systems within the business to provide a continuous growth including a concentration on Root Cause Analysis and performance of machines.
  • Work in collaboration with the Logistics Operations Manager to ensure work is planned in mind with business goals.
Experience & requirements for the role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Programming experience across any of Linux, Java, SQL & C++
  • Knowledge of WMS, WCS and SRC is advantageous but not essential
  • Ideally have worked within warehousing/distribution/fulfilment or within consumer goods within a fast-paced environment, however this is advantageous and not a mandatory requirement.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Continuous improvement of existing processes with the ability to implement new strategies.
