About the Role
A rapidly growing renewable energy company based in Colchester, specialising in Solar PV, Battery Storage and Renewable Energy systems, is looking for an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join their installation team. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding business with genuine long-term career prospects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out Solar PV and Battery Storage installations
• Electrical testing, commissioning, fault finding and maintenance
• Reporting to the Colchester yard each morning to collect equipment and materials before travelling to site
• Working across a variety of domestic, social housing and commercial projects

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year's experience in the Solar PV industry
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong understanding of Solar PV systems and associated electrical works
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

Desirable (not essential)

• ECS Gold Card
• AM2 qualification (or working towards)
• Solar PV Installation qualification
• Battery Storage installation experience
• Testing & Inspection qualifications (2391 or equivalent)
• Experience with major inverter/battery manufacturers

Location Requirement
Applicants must live close to Colchester, as daily attendance at the yard is required. A DBS check and H&S training will be required before starting, due to contract requirements.
