Flint Bishop is a law firm operating in England and Wales, acting for a range of clients including large UK-based organisations.

This role forms part of the Debt Recovery team. The position involves managing a caseload of senior and complex matters, alongside providing support to the wider team, including oversight of work and assisting with the development of colleagues.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and reports to the Head of Debt Services and the Practice Management Senior Associate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading your own significant caseload of litigated matters within the Debt Recovery department. 
  • Acting for the firm’s clients at complex stages of the debt recovery process, Demonstrating technical and strategic knowledge about the firm’s debt recovery services and procedures, both internally and externally. 
  • Working alongside colleagues across the department to maximise revenues generated from successful recoveries. 
  • Supervising junior members of the team with their caseloads and providing guidance and support where necessary. 
  • Maintaining high standards of financial management and record keeping in the firm’s case management systems.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

You will:

  • Be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE in a commercial debt recovery role in a legal firm.
  • Have experience in managing your own significant caseload of complex debt recovery matters.
  • Possess excellent IT skills with the ability to produce informative reports.
  • Have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Preferably have experience of working with Liberate (not essential as training will be provided).
  • Have great communication skills including the presentation of data and findings.
