HAB Law is expanding its highly regarded Court of Protection Health & Welfare team due to continued growth and increasing demand across the country. We are now seeking a number of talented and committed Court of Protection Fee Earners to join our specialist team.
We also have a strong requirement for Supervising Solicitors, especially those with experience supervising both qualified and non-qualified staff, to support the continued growth and development of our team.

The role:
You will join a highly regarded Court of Protection team and manage your own varied caseload of Health & Welfare matters, including complex cases involving vulnerable individuals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a Court of Protection (Health & Welfare) caseload
- Applications under Sections 16 and 21A of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Acting in Legal Aid funded matters, including use of CCMS
- Liaising with the Official Solicitor and other professionals
- Drafting applications, witness statements, and court documentation
- Representing clients and providing clear legal advice
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Contributing to the continued growth of the department
- Mental Health Panel Members, or are actively working towards accreditation would be advantageous
We are also seeking candidates based in, or able to cover, the North East/Newcastle, North West, South West, or London regions
