We are recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join the brigade at a well-established country house hotel and events venue near Preston.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional kitchen that delivers high-quality food across weddings, private events, corporate functions, and leisure dining. We are looking for chefs who are passionate about fresh food, take pride in their work, and thrive in a busy hospitality environment.

The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen. The Head Chef will also be manging another outlet alongside this kitchen so the business are looking for a strong Sous Chef to support and cook the current menus to the highest standard whilst also demonstrating that they have the necessary leadership skills to manage & support the existing brigade!

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Sous Chef position
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in hotel, banqueting, or high-volume kitchens
  • Ability to support, train, and motivate junior team members
  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen operations
