Immediate start - Recruiting for an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with KS1and KS2 children that have ASD in the Specialist Unit of a Hornchurch based School.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone dedicated to support children with ASD, helping them to thrive and achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment. Experience and knowledge would be desirable for this role.
Monday-Friday: 8.30am to 3.30pm with 30minute break (Term time only)
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- To support KS1 & KS2 students with ASD and additional needs.
- Ability to use visual communication/timetables i.e. PECS, Lego Therapy.
- Support with personal care, if required and ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience supporting children with SEN in an educational environment
- L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, Psychology or SEND qualification.
