We are currently looking for a STEM Teacher to join our busy team in Enschede, Netherlands where your lessons will have real momentum and your impact will be felt in every classroom.
Hours of Work: part time
As a STEM Teacher (24 hours per week), you will deliver around 10–12 hours of teaching and use the remaining time for preparation, assessment, and coordination. You will teach international students to achieve HAVO/VWO level within one year, designing engaging learning experiences and supporting progress through clear, effective feedback. You will also contribute to curriculum development, create teaching materials, collaborate with colleagues on course content and student progress, and support the interdisciplinary Project course by guiding students and assessing their work.
STEM Teacher Duties:
- Deliver lectures to larger student groups and seminars to smaller classes (max. 25 students)
- Design, invigilate, and assess examinations (e.g. written exams, case studies, projects)
- Contribute to curriculum development and creation of teaching materials
- Collaborate with colleagues on course content and student progress
- Participate in lesson observations and continuous improvement of teaching practice
- Support the interdisciplinary Project course by guiding students and assessing project work
- Support students in a diverse international classroom and contribute to integration activities
STEM Teacher Requirements:
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and advanced knowledge of Python
- Ability to teach at HAVO/VWO or first-year university level
- Student-centred teaching approach with a commitment to learning outcomes
- Fluent communication in English (spoken and written)
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team
