The Role

We're looking for an experienced Strategic Workforce Planning & People Analytics Lead to help embed a strategic workforce planning capability within a complex, security-sensitive organisation. This is a high-impact role for someone who can blend strategic thinking, data analysis and senior stakeholder management to turn workforce data into evidence-based recommendations that shape real decisions.

You'll lead on workforce forecasting, capability assessment, scenario planning and analytics, while playing a key role in embedding a new Resource Management Operating Model across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the development, maintenance and annual publication of the organisation's Strategic Workforce Plan
  • Building workforce supply and demand forecasts, and leading scenario planning and modelling activity
  • Producing dashboards, analytical products and trend research that turn complex data into clear insight
  • Presenting workforce recommendations directly to Executive-level stakeholders
  • Coordinating the implementation of a new Resource Management Operating Model — governance, processes, risks and dependencies
  • Running Quarterly Workforce Planning Steering Groups and maintaining workforce establishment governance
  • Translating analysis into practical interventions and strategic workforce decisions

What You'll Bring

  • Significant experience leading strategic workforce planning within a complex organisation
  • Strong people analytics skills — dashboards, trend analysis, workforce insight and reporting
  • Experience with multivariate, regression, factor and thematic analysis
  • Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros); Power BI experience desirable
  • A track record of building evidence-based cases for senior and Executive audiences
  • Experience implementing workforce operating models or organisational transformation programmes
  • Strong governance, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
  • A degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
