Structural Engineer
Birmingham

Join a leading global Consultancy delivering some of the UK's most exciting building projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an internationally recognised engineering Consultancy with an outstanding reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable and technically challenging projects across the built environment. With a strong pipeline of work and continued investment in its Birmingham team, they're looking to appoint a Structural Engineer who is keen to develop their career while working on projects that genuinely make a difference.

Based in a modern city centre office just a short walk from Birmingham New Street Station, you'll become part of an established multidisciplinary team working alongside Architects, Civil Engineers, Building Services Engineers and other specialists to deliver projects across a wide range of sectors. You'll gain exposure to every stage of the design process, from concept through to detailed design and construction, taking on increasing responsibility as your career develops.

The role will see you designing and analysing steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures using Eurocodes, producing practical, sustainable and buildable engineering solutions for a varied portfolio of projects. You'll contribute to project delivery, attend client and design team meetings, carry out site visits, work within BIM environments and collaborate closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines. As your experience grows, you'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and play a bigger role in project delivery.

We're looking for someone with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering who is a Graduate Member of either IStructE or ICE and is making good progress towards Chartership. You'll have experience designing building structures using traditional materials, enjoy solving technical challenges and be comfortable working as part of a collaborative design team. Experience using structural analysis software such as Robot and BIM tools including Revit would be advantageous, along with an interest in digital engineering and emerging technologies.

In return, you'll join a Consultancy that genuinely invests in its people, offering structured Chartership support, first-class technical mentoring, flexible hybrid working and the opportunity to work on landmark projects alongside some of the industry's leading engineers. You'll benefit from an excellent package, ongoing professional development and clear opportunities to progress your career within a business that values innovation, collaboration and technical excellence.

If you're looking for a role where you can continue developing your technical expertise while working on high-quality building structures projects in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, this is an opportunity well worth exploring.
