Recruitment Solutions Workforce Ltd

Supply Chain Coordinator

Crumlin, Gwent

£28,000 – £35,000 per annum

Permanent | Full-time

Are you an experienced Supply Chain professional looking for your next challenge?

We’re recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join an established and growing manufacturing business with a global customer and supply chain network.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years’ experience across supply chain, purchasing, planning or materials, who is ready to build on their existing experience and take the next step in their career.

You’ll be a key part of the operation, helping to ensure materials, products and information flow smoothly through the business. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams, using data and commercial awareness to identify issues, manage requirements and keep the supply chain moving.

This is a hands-on role rather than a management position, making it ideal for someone who has developed a solid foundation of supply chain experience and wants to broaden their skills within an established manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitor and coordinate supply chain activity to support customer and production requirements.
  • Analyse supply, demand, inventory and purchasing data to identify potential issues and opportunities.
  • Support material planning and help ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, lead times, delivery performance and outstanding requirements.
  • Identify potential supply shortages, delays and risks, taking proactive action to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate supply chain, purchasing and inventory records.
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalate recurring issues where appropriate.
  • Work closely with purchasing, production, logistics, quality and other internal teams.
  • Support forecasting, demand planning and inventory analysis.
  • Produce reports and provide meaningful analysis to support operational decision-making.
  • Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes and support corrective actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes.
  • Ensure supply chain systems and data remain accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly regarding supply risks, delivery issues and changes to requirements.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has practical supply chain experience and understands the pace and demands of a manufacturing environment.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A few years’ experience in a Supply Chain Coordinator, Supply Chain Analyst, Materials Planner, Supply Chain Planner, Purchasing Analyst or similar position.
  • Experience working with suppliers and managing supply requirements.
  • A good understanding of purchasing, inventory, materials planning and wider supply chain processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confidence working with data, spreadsheets and supply chain systems.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse and interpret data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple requirements in a busy environment.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving supply chain issues.
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering or another complex operational environment would be advantageous.

The Person

You’ll be hands-on, analytical and commercially aware, with the confidence to investigate problems and find solutions rather than simply report them.

You’ll enjoy working with data but equally be comfortable picking up the phone, speaking with suppliers and collaborating with colleagues across the business.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who wants to develop their supply chain career, take ownership of their responsibilities and make a genuine contribution to the operation.

Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business operating within a genuinely international supply chain environment.

You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of supply chain activities, develop your technical and commercial understanding and work alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative environment.

£28,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
