Supply Chain Management Professional

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing logistics business as a Supply Chain Management Specialist, working within a small, friendly team with the backing of a successful European group.  This is a full time, office based role offering the opportunity to develop a career within logistics and freight forwarding. Previous logistics experience would be advantageous, but a positive attitude, strong organisation and willingness to learn are equally important.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer orders from start to finish, ensuring requirements, costs and margins are accurately managed.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear, proactive communication.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure orders are delivered effectively.
• Obtain supplier costings.
• Ensure accurate order processing and administration.
• Identify and recover any additional costs where appropriate.
• Support the development and growth of existing and new customers.
• Resolve issues proactively, escalating where necessary.

The candidate

• Previous experience within logistics, supply chain or freight forwarding would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a genuine willingness to learn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• A strong team player with a customer focused approach.
