Supply Chain Planner

We're looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join a global manufacturing organisation based in Leeds on a temporary basis until March 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong supply chain planning background who enjoys managing supplier performance, improving operational processes, and working collaboratively across a global business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing a portfolio of global suppliers
  • Coordinating daily supply chain planning activities
  • Monitoring supplier performance, identifying risks and resolving potential supply chain issues
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders
  • Leading supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting inventory management, demand planning and supply continuity activities.
  • Analysing supply chain data to identify trends
  • Driving process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams

What We're Looking For

  • Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain Planner, Materials Planner or similar planning role.
  • Experience managing supplier performance and supplier escalations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed planning decisions.
  • Good understanding of inventory management, demand planning and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership principles.
  • Experience with inbound materials management and supply continuity.
  • Understanding of network exception management.
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP planning systems.
