About the Position
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons in your specialist subject or across a range of subjects, helping to maintain continuity of learning when permanent teachers are absent. You will be expected to establish positive relationships with students and colleagues quickly while upholding high standards of teaching and classroom management.

Key Duties
- Deliver effective lessons that meet school policies and curriculum expectations
- Create and sustain a positive, purposeful learning environment
- Handle classroom behaviour confidently and professionally
- Keep students attentive, involved, and on task throughout each lesson
- Adjust confidently to different schools, classrooms, and teaching contexts
- Evaluate and track student progress when requested
- Teach from lesson plans supplied by permanent members of staff
- Maintain safeguarding and student welfare standards at all times
- Develop constructive working relationships with students and staff

What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a comparable teaching qualification
- Previous teaching experience in UK secondary schools
- Confident and effective classroom management
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A flexible, adaptable attitude towards teaching
- A genuine commitment to improving student outcomes
- An enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or readiness to apply for one
