Support Worker

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join a supportive residential home setting in the NN4 area.

This is a permanent full-time role offering a salary of £32,000 per year, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional to make a positive difference in the lives of young people with additional support needs.

About the role:
You will be supporting young people within a residential home environment, providing person-centred care and helping them develop independence, confidence, and life skills. The role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, ensuring they receive high-quality care in a safe and nurturing setting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing tailored support based on each young person's individual needs

• Supporting with daily routines, activities, and personal development

• Responding positively and safely to challenging behaviours

• Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing

• Building trusting and meaningful relationships

• Working closely with colleagues and other professionals

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• At least 12 months' UK care experience

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour

• A caring, patient, and resilient approach

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to person-centred care

• A full UK driving licence is preferred

• Applicants requiring sponsorship are unlikely to be suitable for this role
