Introduction

About the Role / Objectives

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to individuals in a care environment. You will work as part of a supportive team, helping service users with their daily routines while promoting their comfort, independence, dignity and quality of life.

The role requires someone who is patient, dependable and committed to providing high-quality support and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with their day-to-day care, support and wellbeing needs.

  • Assist with personal care and daily activities where required.

  • Encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.

  • Provide emotional and practical support in a respectful and compassionate manner.

  • Monitor and report changes in wellbeing or behaviour to the appropriate team members.

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and other professionals involved in care.

  • Maintain accurate and appropriate care records.

  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and other relevant procedures.

  • Treat every individual with dignity, respect and compassion.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker or in a healthcare or care environment is desirable.

  • A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Reliable, responsible and committed to providing high-quality care and support.

  • Ability to follow care plans, policies and procedures.

  • Relevant qualifications or training, where required.
