We are currently recruiting Youth Support Workers in Burnley to support young individuals aged 16–18. Many of the young people in our care present with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviors, requiring dedicated support to help them transition into independent living.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing high-quality emotional and practical support to young adults aged 16–18.

Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviors effectively and compassionately.

Supporting individuals with mental health challenges, encouraging positive coping mechanisms.

Assisting with life-skills development, budgeting, education, and daily routines.

Maintaining detailed shift logs and support plans.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with adolescents (16–18) or vulnerable young people.

Experience handling challenging behavior and a solid understanding of youth mental health.

Strong communication, de-escalation, and active listening skills.
-
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care / Children & Young People (desirable, but relevant experience is key).
