Location: Luton
Salary: £40,000 – £42,500 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
On-call: Planned rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Additional: Essential Car User Allowance + mileage
The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of an established not-for-profit organisation for an experienced Supported Housing Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality supported accommodation services across Luton.
This is a senior operational role responsible for leading a team of Team Leaders, Coordinators and Support Coaches, ensuring residents receive safe, effective and person-centred support that promotes independence and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities as a Supported Housing Manager
- Lead and manage the supported housing service and wider operational team.
- Recruit, motivate, coach and develop Team Leaders, Coordinators and Support Coaches.
- Ensure high standards of resident support, safeguarding, risk management and tenancy sustainment.
- Monitor KPIs including occupancy, voids, rent collection, arrears and service performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulation, policies and best practice.
- Work closely with local authorities, commissioners and external partner agencies.
- Oversee complaints, audits, safeguarding and service improvement activity.
- Manage budgets, income and resources effectively, ensuring value for money.
- Produce performance reports and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of the wider supported housing service and organisational strategy.
About You
We are looking for an experienced manager from a housing, supported accommodation, homelessness, social care or related support environment.
You will have:
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Experience supporting vulnerable people and promoting independence.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and service delivery.
- Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Strong decision-making, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience monitoring performance and using data to improve services.
- High emotional intelligence, resilience and professionalism.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Experience of working with local authorities, managing budgets, developing services and working within regulated environments would be advantageous.
