Summary
We are seeking an experienced Systems Assurance professional to join a major infrastructure programme. Based in either London or Birmingham on a hybrid working arrangement, this role is ideal for someone with strong technical assurance expertise and experience in large-scale rail or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
- Develop and improve assurance processes in line with project requirements
- Coordinate and liaise between HS2 Ltd and contractors to maintain compliance
- Oversee system-level assurance throughout the V lifecycle and across Level 1, 2 and 3 assurance stages
- Create and complete the Technical Assurance Evidence Model (TAEM)
- Ensure adherence to technical assurance principles including interface, configuration, quality, environmental, health & safety, BIM, consents, change control and risk management
- Apply auditing standards and champion continuous improvement initiatives
- Support integration of Artificial Intelligence to enhance the Technical Assurance Review (TAR) process
- Extensive experience in systems assurance on large multdiscipline programmes (civils, M&E, architecture, rail systems, rolling stock)
- Strong knowledge of the V lifecycle and assurance processes at all levels
- IRCA‑certified Principal/Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 Quality standard
- Experience implementing and managing quality, environmental and health & safety systems and frameworks on major infrastructure projects
- Solid understanding of rail systems technical assurance principles
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to maintain high assurance standards
- Additional IRCA certifications for ISO 14001:2015 Environmental and ISO 45001:2018 Health & Safety standards
- Competence and experience in applying Artificial Intelligence technologies to support assurance processes
- Knowledge of HS2 corporate values and equality, diversity and inclusion practices
