We are recruiting for a Tanker Driver on a full time and permanent basis in Nottingham.

The Role

As a Tanker Driver, you will travel to customer sites to service portable toilets, welfare units, and septic tanks. The role involves emptying waste tanks, refilling water units, completing vehicle checks, and keeping the branch updated throughout the day. You will mainly work independently, with full support from the Nottingham team whenever you need it.



Key Responsibilities

  • Empty waste and refill water in portable toilets, welfare units, and septic tanks.
  • Drive a Class 2 vacuum tanker and support with smaller service vehicles when required.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure equipment is safe, secure, and ready to use.
  • Keep the team informed of progress, delays, or any issues during the working day.
  • Follow all road laws, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.
  • Keep your vehicle clean, stocked, and ready for the next shift.
  • Attend training, toolbox talks, and driving assessments as needed.
  • Support the wider team with additional duties when required.


What We're Looking For

  • A valid Class 2 Category C licence, Driver CPC, and Digi card.
  • Experience driving automatic and split gearbox vehicles.
  • Confidence with manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • A good understanding of road safety and driving regulations.
  • A strong work ethic, excellent time management, and clear communication skills.
  • Previous experience in toilet hire or welfare hire would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
