This exciting opportunity would suit a passionate educator who can inspire students through practical learning and help them develop valuable life skills, creativity, and an understanding of nutrition and food science. The successful candidate will join a supportive Design & Technology faculty and play a key role in delivering engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Opportunity
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire students through practical and theory-based learning experiences.
- Develop students' knowledge of nutrition, food preparation, health, and safety.
- Plan and deliver creative lessons that engage and challenge learners of all abilities.
- Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic performance.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Design & Technology curriculum and department initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
We welcome applications from teachers who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- Have experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical education.
- Can motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
- Are committed to delivering outstanding classroom practice.
- Possess excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Experience teaching Food Preparation & Nutrition at GCSE level would be highly advantageous, although not essential.
