Think FE are recruiting a Maths Teacher for a college in Northamptonshire. You’ll teach GCSE Maths resits and Functional Skills, helping students build their confidence and achieve the qualifications they need for work or further study.
The college welcomes applicants from further education, secondary schools, alternative provision and prison education. If you’ve been delivering Functional Skills and want to develop your teaching career, this could also be a good next step.
Job duties:
- Deliver engaging GCSE Maths resit and Functional Skills lessons.
- Plan teaching to suit different abilities and learning needs.
- Help learners build confidence and prepare for assessments.
- Assess students’ work and provide clear, practical feedback.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate attendance and achievement records.
What you’ll need:
- A Level 3 qualification or above in maths.
- Experience teaching maths or delivering Functional Skills Maths.
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
- The ability to explain maths clearly and engage learners who may lack confidence.
- Experience in further education, secondary schools, alternative provision or prison education would be welcomed.
