Pay: £95–£115 per day (depending on experience)
A friendly and well-established primary school in West London is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident Teaching Assistant looking for a varied role within a supportive primary school. Alongside providing classroom support, you'll have the opportunity to lead targeted intervention groups and cover lessons when teachers are attending meetings, training, or PPA time. It's an ideal position for someone looking to develop their classroom experience, with added responsibility beyond a traditional TA role.
The Role:
- Supporting teaching and learning across the primary phase
- Working alongside class teachers to provide high-quality classroom support
- Delivering targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas to individuals and small groups
- Providing whole-class cover when required using pre-planned lessons
- Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs to maximise progress and confidence
- Helping to maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers and senior leaders to support pupil achievement
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school
- Confident supporting learning across KS1 and KS2
- Comfortable leading small groups and delivering intervention sessions independently
- Confident managing a class when covering lessons using pre-prepared planning
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to use their own initiative
- HLTA status is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong classroom experience
