Career Teachers are currently recruiting enthusiastic, dedicated, and adaptable Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in primary, secondary, and specialist schools across Sheffield and the wider South Yorkshire area.
Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEND Support Assistant, or looking to gain further experience within education, we would love to hear from you.
These roles are primarily offered on an ad hoc and flexible basis, allowing you to choose when and where you work. There is also the potential for assignments to develop into long-term and permanent opportunities for the right candidates.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in their learning and development
- Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils with additional needs where appropriate
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A recognised teaching assistant qualification if desirable but not essential
- A positive, flexible, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's education and wellbeing
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
