Teaching Assistant
Destination Education
Location: Islington & Surrounding Areas
About the Role
Destination Education is currently working with a number of welcoming and supportive mainstream primary schools in Islington and the surrounding areas, and we are expecting a range of exciting Teaching Assistant opportunities.
We are particularly interested in hearing from Teaching Assistants looking for a full-time position, including those with experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 SEN basis. We are also open to speaking with part-time Teaching Assistants who are interested in supply work and would like the flexibility to work across different schools and settings.
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs within a mainstream primary school. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to help the pupil access the curriculum, build confidence, develop independence, and feel fully included within the classroom.
For those interested in supply, this can be a great way to gain experience across different schools, build your confidence, and potentially find a school that could lead to a longer-term or permanent opportunity.
