🚨 TEAM TEACH TRAINED SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – MANCHESTER 🚨

Engage Education are recruiting for a passionate and experienced Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who is confident supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism and challenging behaviour.

👩‍🏫 The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with complex SEN needs
• Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
• Helping pupils regulate their emotions and engage with learning
• Following individual education, behaviour and care plans
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
• Creating a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment
• Using your Team Teach training appropriately when required

⭐ Essential Requirements

Team Teach training is ESSENTIAL.

We are looking for candidates with:

✅ Previous experience working in an SEN or specialist setting
✅ Experience supporting challenging behaviour and/or SEMH
✅ A valid Team Teach qualification
✅ A calm, resilient and consistent approach
✅ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✅ A genuine passion for helping children and young people succeed

Previous experience as an SEN TA, Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Learning Mentor, Support Worker or Youth Worker is highly desirable.
