About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant in Wirral, your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery on both a whole-class and individual basis. Supporting inclusive practices, SEND support, and positive behaviour management are vital aspects of this role. Key Duties

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of lessons aligned with early years frameworks
  • Preparing resources to facilitate engaging and inclusive learning activities
  • Assisting with pupil assessment and providing feedback for progress reviews
  • Supporting children with SEND to ensure they can access and participate fully in learning activities
  • Managing behaviour positively and promoting a safe, supportive environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

Essential Requirements

  • A Level 2 (or above) qualification in Teaching Assistance or willingness to undertake this on appointment
  • Proven experience in supporting high-quality early years education, particularly in phonics and mastery-based maths
  • Good understanding of early years development and educational frameworks
  • Strong commitment to inclusion and SEND support
  • Ability to develop positive relationships and work effectively within a team
  • Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK
