Full-Time | September 2026 Start | Potential Extension to Christmas

Veritas Education are proud to be working in partnership with an Outstanding Secondary School in Chorley, who are seeking to appoint a full-time TA2 Teaching Assistant to join their support team from 2nd September 2026.

Initially offered until October half-term, there is a strong possibility that the role will be extended through to Christmas for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide in-class support across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Support students with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support
  • Build positive relationships that promote engagement and progress
  • Support learning on both a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider SEND team
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment


The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

✅ Has a strong understanding of SEND

✅ Has experience supporting children or young people with Autism

✅ Has experience managing challenging behaviour

✅ Can build excellent rapport with students and staff

✅ Is adaptable, resilient and patient

✅ Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, Youth Worker, Support Worker or Sports Coach

✅ Is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential
