Salary: £92.63 - £130 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school in Sale that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. This highly nurturing school provides a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills, regardless of their individual challenges.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs including PMLD, Autism / ASD, SLD, speech and language difficulties, hearing impairments and Down's Syndrome. There is the opportunity for the successful SEND Teaching Assistant to secure a salaried position following a successful trial period.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
• Experience working with pupils with Autism / ASD, PMLD, SLD or complex needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
