TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Exeter, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. The school is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential and prides itself on providing a supportive atmosphere for both pupils and staff.

The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a day-to-day supply basis, with the potential for the role to become long-term for the right Teaching Assistant. The successful Teaching Assistant will support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons, work closely with pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, and provide additional support for children with SEND where required. SEND experience is preferred, and being a driver would be advantageous due to the location and flexibility across placements.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience working within a UK Primary School
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is preferred
• Excellent communication and classroom support skills
• A flexible, positive and proactive approach
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred
