The Supply Register is currently seeking enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistants to join our team and work across a range of primary and secondary schools in Dorset.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people and want the flexibility to work in different educational settings.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing. You may work with individuals, small groups or whole classes, depending on the needs of the school.
Key Responsibilities- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning activities.
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and develop pupils' confidence.
- Provide additional support to pupils who may have SEND or other individual learning needs.
- Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage pupils to participate in learning and develop their independence.
- Support pupils with their social and emotional development.
- Assist with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources.
- Support classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and other professionals.
- Assist with school routines, including break and lunchtime duties where required.
- Provide appropriate support and encouragement to pupils throughout the school day.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies at all times.

- Previous experience working in a school, nursery, childcare or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
