Team Leader - Grounds Maintenance

Location: Hempstead
Salary: £31,000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join a growing team delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services across residential developments in Hempstead.

This is a hands-on role where you will lead and support a small team, ensuring landscaped areas are maintained to a high standard while providing excellent customer service and maintaining safe working practices.

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a small grounds maintenance team.
• Carry out a wide range of grounds maintenance duties, including:
  • Grass cutting and mowing
  • Hedge trimming and pruning
  • Weeding and planting
  • Litter picking
  • Leaf clearance
  • General upkeep of landscaped areas
• Plan and coordinate daily work schedules to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Communicate professionally with residents, clients, and the office team.
• Carry out basic checks and maintenance of tools, machinery, and vehicles.
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures and company policies are followed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

• Minimum of 1 year's experience leading a grounds maintenance or landscaping team.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage a small team.
• Good knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe working practices.
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering high standards.

• Salary: £31,000 per annum
• Full-time, permanent position.
