Team Manager – Leaving Care & Semi-Independent Services

We're recruiting on behalf of a respected provider of Semi-Independent Supported Accommodation for young people and are seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead a busy Leaving Care service.

About the Role

As Team Manager, you'll lead and support a team of Support Workers, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support is delivered across the service. This is a hands-on management position, combining operational leadership, safeguarding, quality assurance and relationship management.

You'll be based in the office Monday-Friday (9.00am-5.30pm) but will also regularly visit supported accommodation properties, meet with young people, supervise staff and work closely with local authorities and partner agencies.

We're looking for someone who:

✔ Social Work England (SWE) registration is preferred.
✔ Has experience managing or supervising teams within Leaving Care, Supported Accommodation or Children's Services.
✔ Understands the importance of KPIs, performance management and service delivery.
✔ Has strong commercial awareness and can balance excellent outcomes with efficient service management.
✔ Is confident delegating work, motivating teams and managing Support Workers.
✔ Can work on their own initiative, solve problems and think outside the box.
✔ Has excellent safeguarding knowledge and understands the needs of vulnerable young people.
✔ Is organised, proactive and enjoys building positive relationships with commissioners and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and supervising a team of Support Workers.
  • Delegating workloads and ensuring high standards of support.
  • Visiting supported accommodation properties and young people.
  • Monitoring KPIs, audits, compliance and service quality.
  • Supporting safeguarding, investigations and risk management.
  • Liaising with social workers, commissioners and external professionals.
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development.
  • Driving continuous improvement across the service.

Salary

£35,000-£45,000 depending on experience.
