About the Role
Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Suffolk County Council for an experienced Team Manager to join the Integrated Front Door/ MASH Service.
The Front Door is often the first point of contact for children and families accessing services, making it one of the most important teams within Children's Services. As Team Manager, you will lead from the front, driving high-quality decision-making, safeguarding practice and service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing multi-agency Front Door team.
- Provide clear management oversight of contacts, referrals and threshold decisions.
- Drive timely, safe and effective safeguarding decision-making.
- Support social workers and practitioners to deliver strengths-based, child-centred practice.
- Ensure high-quality risk assessment and safeguarding interventions.
- Monitor performance, quality assurance and service outcomes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies across the safeguarding network.
- Promote a culture of learning, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support practitioners with complex case discussions and decision-making.
Skills/Experience
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Significant management experience within Children's Social Care.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, thresholds, risk assessment and statutory responsibilities.
- Experience leading teams within MASH, Front Door, Assessment or similar safeguarding services.
- Confident decision-maker able to provide direction in complex situations.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding outcomes for children and families.
- Proven ability to drive performance, improve practice and support workforce development.
- Committed to visible and accessible leadership.
