Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Technical Authorities (TAs) to support upcoming GE gas turbine maintenance, inspection, overhaul and outage projects onshore and offshore.

This is a LTD company contractor opportunity for experienced technical professionals with significant GE gas turbine experience.

The Technical Authority will provide technical leadership, guidance and assurance throughout the project, working closely with engineering, site management and mechanical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical authority and engineering support throughout GE gas turbine projects.
• Act as the technical point of contact for turbine-related engineering queries.
• Provide technical guidance to site and mechanical teams.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and technical documentation.
• Support planning and execution of turbine maintenance, inspection and overhaul activities.
• Provide technical input into work scopes, methodologies and project planning.
• Review technical issues and provide appropriate engineering recommendations.
• Support technical decision-making during outages and maintenance activities.
• Liaise with engineering, project management, client and site teams.
• Monitor technical quality and provide engineering assurance.
• Support investigation and resolution of technical defects and non-conformances.
• Promote strong safety, quality and engineering standards across the project.
• Provide technical reports and documentation as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience working with GE gas turbines.
• Proven experience as a Technical Authority, Technical Lead, Senior Engineer or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of gas turbine maintenance, inspection and overhaul.
• Previous experience supporting major turbine outages.
• Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, drawings and specifications.
• Relevant engineering qualification or significant equivalent industry experience.
• Valid project/site certifications where required.
• Must be able to operate through a UK LTD company and meet the relevant contractor requirements.
