You will have the opportunity to:
·Lead multiple technical teams and senior managers delivering complex highways, asset management, and construction design services
·Shape and influence the strategic direction of the highways discipline alongside senior leadership
·Play a key role in winning new business and growing major client accounts at regional and national level
·Take ownership of bid strategy, working with multidisciplinary teams to develop competitive, high-quality submissions
·Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, influencing decisions and outcomes at the highest level
·Drive financial performance, including revenue growth, margin improvement, WIP control, and account success
·Recruit, develop, and inspire high-performing engineering and technical teams
·Champion technical excellence, best practice, and governance across complex, high-value infrastructure programmes
·Represent highways engineering expertise to clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
·Work closely with major infrastructure clients, local authorities, and private sector developers
·Influence the successful delivery of projects both on and off site, including live construction environments
 
You will bring:
·A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
·Significant experience in senior technical leadership roles within highways or civil engineering
·A strong track record of delivering complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
·Experience working with local authorities, developers, and/or major infrastructure clients
·The ability to oversee technical design, review, and assurance of engineering outputs
·Experience working within construction environments and live project delivery
·Strong understanding of design standards, codes, and CDM regulations
 
You will have a proven track record of:
·Leading and developing large, multidisciplinary technical teams
·Delivering complex, high-value infrastructure programmes
·Operating confidently at senior leadership level
·Driving business growth through winning work and developing key accounts
·Managing budgets and improving financial performance
·Bringing innovation and strategic thinking to technical delivery
 
You will also have:
·Strong commercial awareness and client-facing confidence
·The ability to influence, negotiate, and build long-term partnerships
·A proactive, motivated, and collaborative leadership style
·Consultancy experience (desirable but not essential)
