Technical Product Manager

Introduction

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Product Manager to join a growing engineering business in Romsey. This newly created role has a strong technical and commercial focus, supporting product development, suppliers and internal teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and develop agreed product ranges and supplier relationships.
• Review product specifications, pricing, availability and alternatives.
• Support product improvements, new product introductions and pricing decisions.
• Maintain accurate product, technical and commercial information.
• Work closely with engineering, sales, procurement and operations teams.
• Monitor market and competitor activity.
• Provide technical and commercial advice to colleagues and customers.
• Prepare product presentations and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate projects and actions through to completion.

Ideal Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in Product Management or a similar technical role.
• Engineering or mechanical background preferred.
• Experience in product development, technical products or supplier management.
• Strong understanding of specifications, costs, pricing and margins.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Confident using Excel and business systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel occasionally in the UK and internationally.

Salary

£35,000–£40,000, depending on experience and suitability.

Hours

Full-Time, Permanent
Monday–Friday, office-based in Romsey
