Technical Scientific Officer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Protection professional to join the team and provide specialist technical and regulatory advice across a broad range of environmental protection matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage complaints relating to noise, dust, odour, smoke, light and other environmental nuisances.

• Assess contaminated land and other environmental risks associated with existing sites and proposed developments.
• Provide specialist Environmental Protection advice on planning applications, major developments and regeneration schemes.
• Assess technical information relating to air quality, environmental noise, emissions and other pollution risks.
• Provide clear technical advice, prepare reports and correspondence, and support proportionate enforcement action in accordance with relevant legislation.
