Join a well-established organisation as a Floating Support Worker – Outreach Services, supporting refugees and individuals resettled through local and national refugee programmes across Nottinghamshire.This rewarding role provides the opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping clients build independence, sustain their accommodation, improve their wellbeing and integrate into their local communities.

You will deliver person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed support through home visits, appointments and partnership working with other agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of refugees and resettled households, completing needs and risk assessments and support plans.
  • Support clients with housing, tenancy sustainment, budgeting, welfare benefits, employment and education.
  • Help clients access essential services and promote independence, wellbeing and community integration.
  • Carry out regular home visits and work closely with partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate case records and complete safeguarding and risk management processes.
  • Support vulnerable adults and children in line with relevant policies and GDPR requirements.
This role would suit someone with experience as a Floating Support Worker, Housing Support Worker, Tenancy Support Worker, Refugee Support Worker, Resettlement Worker, Community Support Worker or in a similar support setting.

You should have:
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults, refugees, asylum seekers or socially excluded groups.
  • Knowledge of housing, welfare benefits, safeguarding and tenancy sustainment.
  • An understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches.
  • Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
  • Good IT and case-recording skills.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Housing, Advice & Guidance, Community Development or equivalent experience.
  • clean Enhanced DBS.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • The ability to travel throughout Nottinghamshire and work flexibly around service needs.
