Apricus Resourcing are working with a social enterprise provider who are looking for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer for an ongoing contract role based within one of their services in Stoke on Trent.
The role is based within a tenancy team that aims to support the groups wider housing services. Your role will include working towards corporate aims and targets. You will also be working to co-ordinate tenancy management and rent collection, ensuring all income is received.
Key Duties include:
• Effectively work for the efficient turnaround of void properties to ensure quick re-let: with pre-let and post let checks, ensuring repairs and replacements are completed quickly.
• You will ensure supported accommodation is available for use in line with local Key performance Indicators.
• Oversee and carry out where necessary the basic cleaning and room turnaround tasks
• Support and empower residents to maintain cleanliness of communal and personal space in accordance with their tenancy / licence agreement.
• Ensure the properties are let to high Standards and maintained as such, monitoring properties for damage or abandonment or misuse.
• Ensure the process for Gas Safety checks is strictly adhered to and residents are aware of their obligations.
• Ensure that accommodation furnishings and Welcome Packs are available for new lets.
• Order replacement furniture. Maintain inventory and agree the condition of accommodation at the point of re-let with the new tenant and again when the tenant is leaving.
The manager is looking to hire an experienced candidate for the role. You will need specialist knowledge of the groups you’re working with.
Other key experience includes:
• Knowledge and practice in housing and tenancy management in relation to
• statutory obligations.
• Track record in effective tenancy management, particularly voids and arrears
• management.
• Understanding of Housing Benefit regulations and welfare reform.
• Plans and prioritises effectively. Good time management and organisation
• An ability to manage risk effectively.
In return the service are able to offer an ongoing contract working 37.5 hours per week. The role is initially based for the next 12-weeks before turning permanent, the salary for this role is between £18-19 per hour umbrella whilst on agency basis.
