Tooling Technician

We're looking for a Tooling Technician to join a busy manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for preparing, building and inspecting CNC tooling, keeping the tooling area organised and making sure the right tooling is available when the shop floor needs it.
And importantly, you don't need to know everything from day one - full training can be provided for the right person.

- 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 4pm finish

- Checking tooling using a tool presetter
- Inspecting tool condition and runout
- Recording and signing off tool builds
- Maintaining the tool build area and keeping it organised
- Managing tooling stock and raising shortages
- Re-grinding and dressing worn tooling where required
- Working closely with Programming, Engineering, Production and Quality
- Completing relevant paperwork and documentation
You don't need to be a fully trained Tooling Technician — we're happy to train someone with the right background and attitude. Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience within a CNC, machining or engineering environment
- Some knowledge of cutting tools and/or tool holding
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
- A methodical and organised approach
- Good communication skills
- Basic IT and documentation skills
- A willingness to learn and develop
