Trade Accountant in London, Greater London

Salary: £60,000-£75,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 4 days in the office and 1 day from home

An international business is seeking a Trade Accountant to join its London finance team. The role offers hands-on exposure across accounting, reporting and control activities within a fast-paced trading environment.

• Manage month-end accounting activities, including accrual calculations, intercompany reconciliations and management reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly forward books and calculation of mark-to-market P&L for physical trading activity.
• Partner closely with trading, shipping and operational teams, responding to finance queries and improving business processes.
• Take ownership of monthly cash flow forecasting.
• Support FX exposure management and related financial controls.
• Contribute to finance projects, process improvements and the implementation of new trade accounting systems.

• Qualified accountant.
• Experience within commodities, trading or a similar fast-paced financial environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of month-end accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience manipulating and analysing large volumes of financial data.
