We're a food wholesale cash and carry based at Middleton Business Park in Willenhall, supplying fish and chip shops, pubs, cafes and caterers across the region.

With over 60 years in the trade, we've built our reputation on quality, reliability and personal service.

This is a hands-on role at the commercial heart of the business if you're a desk bound buyer who processes orders, this probably isn't for you. If you're someone who enjoys the cut and thrust of trading, getting a better price, and keeping a tight operation running smoothly, we'd like to hear from you.

The rewards:

• up to £40,000 per year
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

The role of Trade Buyer:

• Own the purchasing function - keeping over 1,000 product lines stocked, priced right and moving
• Monitor stock levels and reorder points, acting fast to prevent gaps before they become problems
• Negotiate hard on pricing and terms with existing suppliers - and go looking for better ones
• Identify and bring on new suppliers to sharpen the supply chain and protect margin
• Work closely with the warehouse and sales teams to stay ahead of demand
• Maintain accurate records using the stock control system

The ideal Trade Buyer:

• A natural trader - you think commercially, you negotiate confidently, and you know a good deal when you see one
• Background in buying, purchasing, procurement or trading in a fast-moving product environment
• Comfortable with pace and volume, this isn't a slow-burn corporate role
• Sharp on stock - you understand the cost of being out of something and act accordingly
• Competent with stock control
• Strong communicator who builds genuine relationships with suppliers rather than just processing paperwork
• Self-sufficient and accountable, you manage your own workload and don't need hand-holding
