JRS Associates Ltd has partnered with a leading engineering manufacturer to recruit a Trainee CNC Machinist to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will be trained to set and operate CNC milling machines, working alongside experienced engineers within a modern manufacturing environment.
The Successful Trainee CNC Machinist will benefit from:
- Starting salary of £12.71 per hour
- Increase to £14.00 per hour after 6 months, subject to successful training and development
- 4 on / 4 off day shift

The Trainee CNC Machinist will be responsible for:
- Learning to set and operate CNC milling machines
- Loading and unloading components
- Learning how to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Carrying out basic quality checks
- Using measuring equipment
- Learning tooling and machine offsets
- Working alongside experienced CNC machinists
- Maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Developing machining knowledge through structured training
The ideal Trainee CNC Machinist will have:
- A genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing
- A strong willingness to learn and develop
- Good attention to detail
- A reliable and positive attitude
- An interest in machinery and mechanical engineering
- Previous engineering, manufacturing, machine operating or college-based engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- The ability to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
Please note: The 4 on / 4 off shift runs continuously, meaning weekend working will be required when Saturdays and Sundays fall within the candidate’s four working days.
