Trainee Health & Safety Consultant required to join a well-established architectural practice.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within a supportive and experienced team. You'll work on a diverse range of construction projects, developing your knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management and best practice while receiving structured training and ongoing professional development.
The Role
As a Trainee Health & Safety Consultant, you will support the delivery of health and safety consultancy services across a variety of construction projects. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will build your technical knowledge and develop the skills needed to become a confident health and safety professional.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with site inspections and health and safety audits.
- Preparing reports following site visits, identifying observations and making practical recommendations.
- Assisting in the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Supporting clients in maintaining high standards of health and safety compliance.
- Assisting with the preparation and review of health and safety documentation.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and design teams.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and records.
- Developing your understanding of construction health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Supporting senior consultants with a range of health and safety consultancy activities as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and eager to develop a long-term career in health and safety.
Ideally, you will have:
Qualifications
- A qualification in Health & Safety, Construction or a related discipline (such as NEBOSH, NVQ, BTEC, HNC/HND in Construction, Building Studies or a similar subject).
Experience
- A genuine interest in construction health and safety.
- Previous experience within a construction, property or professional practice environment would be beneficial.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- A full UK driving licence.
