Trainee Lock Assembler at Banham Group, Imperial Works

This role will be based at our Willenhall manufacturing facility.

What will you be doing?

• Assembling lock cylinders and components to meet precise quality and production standards

• Following work instructions, drawings, and technical guidelines with accuracy

• Inspecting finished products, identifying and reporting any defects

• Using and maintaining hand tools and assembly equipment safely

• Keying and pinning cylinders to specific customer requirements

• Keeping your workstation clean, organised, and safe

• Tracking output and highlight any issues to the team leader

• Working collaboratively to meet team production targets

• Taking part in training and continuous improvement initiatives

• Always following all health & safety procedures

What can you bring to the role?

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately

• A reliable, punctual, and positive attitude

• Ability to work at a consistent pace in a production environment

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills

• Willingness to learn and develop new skills

It would be beneficial (but not essential) if you have the following:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment

• Familiarity with quality control processes

• Experience working with small components or precision parts

Please Note: Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 –16:45 / Friday 08:00 – 12:30
