Trainee Manager - Children's Residential

Salary: £17.10 per hour
Sleep-in Rate: £40 per sleep-in
Hours: 169 hours per month (shift-based)
We are recruiting for a Trainee Registered Manager to support the management of a children’s residential home within an established care provider.
This is a developmental role combining leadership responsibilities with shift work, offering a clear pathway into a Registered Manager position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Standards
• Lead, supervise, and develop staff
• Promote safeguarding and the welfare of children
• Maintain accurate records and care plans
• Work with external professionals and agencies
Requirements:
• Aged 21 or over
• Full UK driving licence
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care
• At least 1 year in a Senior or Team Leader role
• NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Services
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and legislation
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
